Before I start posting recipes - I would like to share some basic knowledge about food & its effects on health to lay the foundation upon which all the recipes & how to use them will make more sense. Your body has cycles that are synchronized with the cycles of nature - when you eat according to these cycles you are automatically tuning into your natural state of health. 4am - 12pm: your body is Cleansing & Eliminating - so it is best that you eat only fruits until 11:30am. Fruits are natures best cleansers & they facilitate the body's cleansing & eliminating process while also providing the body with all the energy it needs for the day! 12noon - 8pm: Digesting - time to eat so your body can most efficiently break food down into nutrients. 8pm - 4am: Assimilation & Absorption - time when your body is doing all the building & repair work from all the nutrients it received in the day. This is the time for sleep & rest, so do not eat after 8pm, your body cannot digest & absorb at the same time. Its best to stop eating 3 hours before bedtime.
Fruits: are a miracle food. They digest within 20-30 minutes giving your body all the energy and nutrients it needs. Fruits are also Cleansers and should be eaten on an empty stomach only! (Eating only fruits until 11:30am, because that is strictly a time for cleansing & energizing.) Do not combine fruit with any other food. Wait 30 minutes after eating fruit to eat anything else. After eating any other kind of food - wait minimum of 3 hours before eating fruit again. Vegetables: are body builders! They can be eaten all day. Vegetable juice is an amazing way to get your daily dose of veggies. Cooking vegetables directly over heat destroys most of the nutrients. I highly recommend steaming your vegetables & then spicing them to preserve their nutrient content. Nuts & Sprouts: are great whole foods. They contain as much protein as meat & 5 times more than milk. The difference is that nuts & sprouts are far superior than meat. Your body cannot digest & utilize meat & dairy completely - while Nuts are not only the best sources of proteins & fats but they are also perfectly suited to our body for effective absorption & utilization. Soak nuts at least 4 hours before eating.
